These are my original blog entries from a year back. They were taken down as not only did my friends laugh at me, my parents laughed a little harder at me than with me :( It makes me laugh a little about all of this anyway, so I bring them back for the pure enjoyment of silliness.

Trident Tropical TwistED
Current mood: my eyes hurt because my contacts have been in forever
Trident tropical twist is one of the greatest gums of all time. i give immense props to the creator of the new Trident packaging. It's now utterly unstoppable on the gum market. It truely is one of those inventions that you didn't realize was a necessity until you witnessed for yourself. Similar to the ipod, or the wheel. Fire perhaps as well.
But, while Trident makes a glorious win on the packaging front, who the FUCK decided that using the chemical Xylitol as their HUGE selling point. They use this creepy, chemically altered sugar which is "a bulk sweetener that is colorless, odorless and will suck the soul out of you as proven in helpless lab animals" (added the last part for effect).
I've actually spent the better part of the last month attempting to have this conversation with people and no one really wants to listen anymore, but you've already read this far in my blog so i guess you'll probably finish the last two sentences.
So, please, view the before and after images of my beloved gum. I mean, if you are going to use a 'death inducing chemical' as your selling point, at least give it a cheery, uplifting, pun intended name like Splenda.
and to end, if i hear shit from one of you about thinking my blog is retarded, then STOP reading (amy)

The film was featured in Wired Magazine as "The best worst film of 2006,"
Current mood: amused
Category: Art and Photography
...despite being given the "award" in January 2006, based only on the title and concept of the movie.

Thank god for MAD scientists
Current mood: nostalgic
or maybe it was just an every day happy accident, but this a is bit of magic in my life and some of you know why...
phophorous: 1629, "the morning star," from L. Phosphorus "morning star," from Gk. Phosphoros "morning star," lit. "torchbearer," from phos "light" phoros "bearer," from pherein "to carry" (see infer). Meaning "substance or organism that shines of itself" is attested from 1645. As the name of a non-metallic chemical element ["Accidentally obtained from urine in 1669 by Brandt, an alchemist of Hamburg, in the course of his search for the philosophers' stone." OED], it is recorded from 1680.

Choose Your Own Adventure - skip to page 93
Current mood: relaxed
this may or may not be expanded upon at a later point, but i was thinking that your life can be like one of those choose your own adventure books. remember how sometimes you could get through the book within 3 pages because the scenario you chose went straight to the last page. i am hoping for a more long and complicated adventure, but what if i hit the scenario where i made a few choices and then went straight to the end of the twists and turns in my life. i dont really think thats so true as of right now, but just a thought.
i think UPN shows are more interesting than what i just wrote.

WALKing to work while wishing i where warm
Current mood: silly
For the past 7 months I have walked to and from work everyday, give or take the 6 or so times it was either raining cats and dogs or I was so tired that I might actually pass out in the middle of an intersection. The walk takes me precisely 26 minutes if I choose the most optimal route. Park Ave heading North, left turn at 40th all the way past fifth ave and the new york city library. Walk through Bryant Park and hit 6th Ave. Head up north until I reach 49th street. Left on 49th street to 8th Avenue. Worldwide Plaza, Ogilvy. I don’t take this route often, but I do always walk through Bryant Park.
New York doesn’t look that different from summer to winter. The only thing that changes is the few trees I do see loose their leaves and people change their wardrobe.
now that it is cold out I wear a long wool pink coat. i am always cold for the first 5 minutes of my walk. I look out of place sometimes, especially when I combine this look with my vans and jeans while everyone else is wearing BLACK coats, with BLACK pants and BLACK shoes. I’m tempted to walk behind all of these people in black and paint white stripes up and down their back. The island of New York would resemble the island of Alcatraz from the 50s. Jailbirds all around me, and you wonder who will be bitch in that jail. Easy - investment bankers.
The most interesting corner of my entire walk is 6th Ave and 44th. There are 4 men that ALWAYs stand on this corner with sandwich boards that read. EXPRESS BRAZIL PASSPORT PICTURES. They only offer pictures for Brazilian passports and they must be in such high demand that they need 4 men advertising this. Do Brazilians know to go to 6th and 44th? I understand why they want to leave NYC by the boatload (not to insinuate they travel in the cargo hold of a large tanker, but for some reason my mental image makes me think this and I feel bad about that) If you are a foreigner you come to NYC for opportunity... well the HELLO a foreigner gets is not a greeting of joy and a hope of new chances, but rather they get an old starter jacket, a beat up bike, a map and menus from chinese, japanese, italian, indian, thai, noodle shops, mexican, bagels, american, diner, french, and grocery stores looking to hire delivery people. Note, there is no Brazilian delivery because Brazilian food needs to be eaten sitting down and served to you. Brazilians realize their cuisine is too classy to be subjected to paper bags, plastic utensils and little packets of brown or orange goo.
I will be walking to work in 18 hours. I think ill introduce myself to one of the Brazilians trying to sell passport pictures. I wonder if they would let me take one, knowing that I am not Brazilian.
That is all

Baby steps ...
Current mood: melancholy
I swore to myself that id never create a blog. first of all, does anyone really care to see the musings of a 22 year old who has a lot to say, but nothing incredibly profound and in some cases interesting. well im doing it, because the pure fascination of seeing if anyone spends time reading about what i have to say is pretty great. perhaps this is my attempt at fame, in the same way a writer hopes to be published and make Oprahs' Book Club. On that note, since Frey, no longer endorsed by Oprah for his book A Million Little Pieces, i will add a legal disclaimer to this blog and say that while most of the shocking and ridiculously amazing things you might read seem so real, in fact they may be slightly adjusted, or complete manifestaions of my mind.
so... this is my running start at nothing. well see
